July 16, 2006 • Tom Helmer Joins Enspiria Solutions as Executive Consultant
Enspiria Solutions experiences growth in its consultancy practice group and is excited to announce that Mr. Tom Helmer has joined as executive consultant. Mr. Helmer will augment Enspiria's group of subject matter experts who understand, model and apply processes and systems to business operations. Such focus will help clients realize integration and implementation benefits across their utility enterprise - supporting multi-vendor operational systems for GIS, work management, outage management, mobile work management, graphical job design, substation automation, facilities inspection and maintenance management, distribution engineering and planning, SCADA, automated meter infrastructure, meter data management, field force automation, content/document management, CIS and enterprise resource planning technologies.
Mr. Helmer brings to Enspiria and its consulting practice over 24 years of utility experience in systems integration and solutions architecture. Mr. Helmer most recently served as the solution architect for the UGI Utilities FLAME project where he was responsible for the integration and system architecture for integrating their existing GIS with a new graphical design system, a mobile GIS system, a content/document management system and their existing work management system, SCADA system and engineering analysis package. He has also recently served as the solution architect for the Hawaiian Electric Company outage management and mobile workforce management integration project.
Throughout his career, Mr. Helmer has developed specialized technology expertise in all aspects of solutions integration, enterprise application integration technologies and event driven designs as well as utility industry knowledge. Prior to joining Enspiria, Mr. Helmer served as a solutions architect with KEMA, SchlumbergerSema, Convergent Group, UGC Consulting and as a database technologist with Hughes Aircraft Company. He holds a B.S. (Phi Beta Kappa) and a M.S. as a Hughes Fellow in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
